Azerbaijan's Global Diplomacy Before and After the Soviet Union explores Azerbaijan's journey from an occupied Soviet republic to an assertive, independent actor on the global stage. The book examines the nation's diplomatic evolution through its early independence in 1918, the challenges of Soviet rule, and its re-emergence after 1991. It highlights the country's energy strategy, cultural diplomacy, and role in global institutions, while also emphasizing the efforts of the Azerbaijani diaspora in shaping international perception. Drawing on my personal experiences as a First Karabakh War participant and as a community leader in Australia, the book blends historical narrative with first-hand accounts, offering a unique perspective on Azerbaijan's identity and resilience in modern geopolitics.
